PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD 2019/2020
Born and raised in Norwalk, I’m a proud stay at home mom to my two awesome sons - Alex in 5th and Cameron in 2nd grade - and married to my high school sweetheart Eric for 18 years.
We came to Fox Run a few years ago, transferring from another Norwalk school, where I was the PTO Secretary. Wanting to be a part of the Fox Run community, I started by volunteering where I could - distributing pies from our pie sales, working the Harvest Festival, and helping out at the Book Fair, to name a few. Everyone, volunteers and staff, was so welcoming, appreciative and putting forth amazing work that I knew we found a home at Fox Run. I decided to be on the PTO Board to continue the great work that has been done by my predecessors, and to ensure that our kids get the best of everything we and the District can provide. I am engaged and committed to seeing that the quality of all Norwalk schools improves, however I always try to be respectful, fair, and collaborative. I truly believe, in anything we do, we can only get things done when we work together.
Other than my mom duties and PTO work (yes, there IS some time left!) I love to cook, garden, and coach my sons’ soccer and baseball teams. Please don’t be a stranger - I would love to meet all of our Fox Run families!
My name is Melissa Bramble and I am the co president this year after being the Vice President last year. I have two kids at Fox Run, Keira in the 5th grade and Marley in in 2nd. I became involved with the PTO when we transferred mid year, two years ago, from another elementary school. It has been a great way to meet people and get involved with the school and I have fallen in love with the school community in the process! I have made wonderful friends and learned so much by being a part of the board. Outside of Fox Run, I work for a non-profit in Stamford.
VICE PRESIDENT - KATRINE (Kat) JOHANSEN
Katrine Rosseland Johansen, After having been treasurer for the Fox Run PTO for two years this is my first year as VP. My best gig is that I am mom to Maja in in 5th grade and Thora in first. I started getting more involved with the PTO a few years ago, first with little things and after seeing how proud and excited my daughters are that I am involved with their school, I decided to deepen my relationship with the PTO and with our community by applying for the board. Outside family, kids and the school, I work at Cengage Learning, an Education and Technology Company in Marketing.
TREASURER - SEIDY MARTINEZ
My name is Seidy Martinez, and I am the Fox Run PTO Recording Secretary. I have one son; his name is Daniel and who is in the 1st grade. Aside from my Recording Secretary duties, I am also managing the PTO 's Facebook page. I started volunteering at the different school activities and when I was given the opportunity to be part of the board, I was more than excited to join. My son is super excited that I am a part of the PTO, and I am happy for the opportunity to learn and help the community more. In addition to my family and the school, I work at Finacity Corporation for the last 10 years.
